Music Monday: BABYMETAL

Hi, all! Jaz here with a weekday segment I want to get started on called Music Madness Monday! Corny, I know, but it motivates me to share some of my interests with you guys!
And the first band I would like to discuss is Japanese J-POP/Heavy Metal group BABYMETAL.

My best friend Ryan and I were talking about girl bands and she recommended them to me. I logged onto Facebook to see a music video that she posted of them on my wall:
This is the video for their song DOKI DOKI MORNING (I'm still haunted by my Japanese class teacher harassing the class about writing in Romanji but hey it's cool.)
May I just say that THIS WAS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER WATCHED AND LISTENED TO THUS FAR??
I'm a big fan of most thing easy peas-y Japanesey and the way they interpret cuteness backed up with heavy metal sounds makes it the best contradiction ever next to Scottish-Korean.

Rating (out of 5): ♪♪♪♪♩ (4.5)

If you know who BABYMETAL is, what's your favorite song by them? What do you like about them?
If you're a fan of J-POP, who's your favorite band/group/artist? Favorite J-POP song?

***note: since I want to start up a Youtube soon, I'm thinking of doing vlogs based on this stuff too! It'll be gnarly I promise c:

Exist: "Intervention" series (photos)

Hey, all!
So as some of you may know, I go to this quaint little youth group named Exist at a church named Glad Tidings (sounds like Christmas huh?)
After my Drama practice one of the leaders asked me to take some photos of the new stage design for the series. The interns (I almost became one) worked really hard on it and they did a great job!
I took some photos towards the beginning of service and did the best that I can to make it discreet. My shutter is LOUD-ish.
I wanted to share some of the photos I took.

                                                           The stage! Great job, interns!

"Intervention", the name of the sermon series.

Caleb Hook killin' it on the drums. [worship band]

Christina Santos (one of the singers) singing in the band.

Garrett Peterson on guitar and lead vocals.

Jake Haas (right) and Geordan Bashioum (left). We had 4 guitars going on! Great sound though!

My youth pastor Shaun singing along. He sings and plays guitar, too!

Here's a gif of the worship team performing. Stupid generator ruined the quality...

Hey, all!

Wow, I am not doing a very good job at keeping my blog posts constant, eh?
Well I promise⎯ not like "pwomeeeeese" but SUPER DUPER MEGA ULTRA promise to keep it updated! But while I was gone some things happened:

▲ Applied for a job. They'll be calling me around next week c: $$$
▲ Went to this event called Red, Hot and Boom! It's a Fourth of July fest in Florida with this great fireworks show and stuff (Cobra Starship even performed. I forgot that they existed.) That's probably the last time I go out there. It was so CROWDED!!
▲ Fireworks, fireworks, rah rah rah!
▲ Stayed over at my friend Angel's house with my other besties and we stayed up until sunrise.

Yeah, there's more stuff but it's been kind of eventful I guess.
Oh, and I have soom coolio news coming up soon so stick around for that! c:
